Routine Appointment

The majority of our GP appointments are on-the-day appointments.

To request a routine appointment:

  • use our online system via the link at the top of this page
  • phone us on 01708 372021, Monday to Friday from 8:30am
  • use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App) to book a screening test or vaccination

Please note that our appointments are on a first-come-first-serve basis, so it is advised that you call as close to 8:30am as possible.

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with. Please don't be offended, as we will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

Your appointment

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery
  • on a video call

Appointments by phone or video call can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

To cancel your appointment:

  • use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
  • using the GP online system via the link at the top of this page
  • phone us on 01708 372021, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 8:30am
  • reply CANCEL to your appointment reminder text message

Please note that cancellations must be made anytime before 8:30am on the day of your appointment in order for us to allocate the appointment to someone else.

Any appointment cancelled after 8:30am on the day of the appointment will be classed as DNA (Did Not Attend) and may result in a warning or removal from our patient list if repeated.

Urgent Appointment

To request an urgent appointment for today or tomorrow (Monday to Friday):

  • phone us on 01708 372021, Monday to Friday from 8:30am

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face or by video call
  • if you need an interpreter
  • if you have any other access or communication needs

If there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to deal with, we will take this into consideration. However, this may not always be possible.

In accordance with care navigation, we will place you with the most appropriate clinician to suit your needs.

If you need help when we are closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or Call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

Home visits

If you are housebound and need an appointment, we will do a home visit. We will phone you first to understand what you need.

To request a home visit, it’s helpful if you phone the practice as soon after 8:30am as possible.

The definition of housebound is as follows:

A housebound patient is one who is "unable to leave their home environment through a physical and/or psychological illness" (Oxford English Dictionary).

  •  A patient is NOT housebound if they are able to leave their home environment with assistance.
  •  A patient is housebound if they are unable to leave their home environment without the assistance of an ambulance crew.
