The Practice Business Manager is involved in managing all of the financial and business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The Practice Business Manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

The Assistant Practice Manager works alongside the Practice Business Manager in monitoring claims for work undertaken as part of enhanced, national or local services. To ensure that administrative and clerical duties within the Practice are carried out within the Practice's guidelines, policies and timeframes.

The Practice Supervisor works alongside the Assistant Practice Manager and the Practice Business Manager in overseeing the reception and admin staff and to ensure that administrative and clerical duties within the Practice are carried out within the Practice's guidelines, policies and timeframes.

The administration team provides secretarial and administrative support dealing with hospital referrals, clinical post, data entry, summarisation of medical records, and general administration.
